This data is provided in compliance with Business and Professions Code sections 480(g)(2) and 480(g)(3), which require all boards under the Department of Consumer Affairs (other than the California State Athletic Commission and the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education) to annually report aggregate data for applicants with criminal histories.

The Annual Enforcement Activity dataset includes aggregate annual enforcement activity data such as new case volume, investigation trends, case handling milestones, fines, citations, and other administrative actions data for all DCA entities. This data is also available in the Enforcement Activity section of the Annual Reports.

The California Department of Consumer Affairs annual licensing statistics are now available in an interactive user-friendly format. This dataset includes annual license statistics by DCA entity, fiscal year, and license type. This data is also available in the Summary of Licensing Activity section of the Annual Reports.

The license population by county statistics includes data for DCA's active license population across all 58 California counties. The data includes annual volumes as well as changes in the active license population from year-to-year for each California county. This dataset excludes licensees with an out-of-state or country address of record.

The California Department of Consumer Affairs evaluates licensing program performance by measuring the average application processing time of initial exam and license applications. To evaluate cycle times for licensure, the measure is divided into two categories; Incomplete Applications and Complete Applications.

The following data is provided in compliance with Business and Professions Code section 115.8, which requires all boards, bureaus, committees, and commissions under DCA to annually report military applicant data. Data relating to temporary licenses issued under Business and Professions Code section 115.6 will be included once those go into effect after July 1, 2023.
